Olympia Friends Meeting originally made the decision – because of the risk of transmission of Coronavirus COVID-19 when meeting in person – to close the Meetinghouse to our own events and renter’s events.

We are now open again with limitations as dictated by the State of Washington and Thurston County. Renters are responsible for following the government guidelines related to COVID-19 while using our building – see the green box at the bottom of this page. If these policies change, it will affect us which could mean we have to limit or close our venue. If we have to close, we will refund rent and deposits paid.

About The Meetinghouse at Priest Point

The Meetinghouse at Priest Point is a versatile and spacious event facility conveniently located near downtown Olympia, but nestled in a natural, forest-like setting. Surrounded by acres of park like grass, hedged by forest, this facility sits across the street from Olympia’s 314 acre, waterfront Priest Point Park. The facility and surrounding land provides privacy, space and a large indoor venue for events.

A full kitchen, great room, patio, large manicured field, ample parking and various amenities make this a wonderful facility for weddings, fundraisers, meetings, parties, or any other non-alcohol event.

The Meeting House at Priest Point is also one of the most affordable rental spaces in Olympia.

Amenities include:

  • Wi-Fi
  • 20 rectangular tables that seat six to eight each.
  • 140 chairs
  • A projection screen
  • A piano
  • Dishes and silverware you may use and wash (and we have a dishwasher)

  • We do not permit consumption of alcohol or cannabis on the premises
  • Tobacco is permitted (although not encouraged) outside the building, at least 25 feet from doors and open windows
  • Residential quiet is required after 10:00 p.m.
  • The classrooms off the foyer are not included in what is rented to you. We reserve the use of them for our Quaker Meeting, so a Quaker group might use them while you are in the building and may use the restrooms during that time.
If a member of your group needs a quite space and we are not using it, they may use a classroom and leave it undisturbed.
  • We may check the building and grounds during your event.

Our Location

Olympia Friends Meetinghouse
3201 Boston Harbor Rd NE
Olympia, WA 98506, USA

Coming from Olympia it is just past Priest Point Park and Flora Vista road on the left, on Boston Harbor Road NE.

The Google map (below) is accurate.  Don’t use MapQuest unless you like two mile detours.

Short version:

  • Take I-5 exit 105 (B) — Plum St / Port of Olympia.
  • Plum becomes East Bay Drive after several traffic lights and significant arterials, always driving straight on (North).
  • Once Plum becomes East Bay Drive, you will probably enjoy a spectacular view of the Olympic Mountains almost straight ahead, and the bay filled with moored boats.
  • East Bay Drive continues THROUGH Priest Point Park as a curvy divided road with grassy median. Watch your speed — only 30 mph.
  • The road will rise and there will be a left hand turn at Flora Vista Rd.
  • Continue straight but SLOW DOWN immediately after passing Flora Vista. East Bay Drive is now Boston Harbor Rd.
  • The Meetinghouse is just AFTER Flora Vista, on the LEFT; there are two driveways, equally adequate.

Set up and Clean up Procedures

If you have garbage in excess of one bag or a lot of recycling, we ask you to take it with you at the end of your event.
If you know you are going to have excess garbage, you can also pre-purchase an Overflow Tag ($5.57) at Olympia City Hall or Ralph’s Thriftway and leave that bag on top of the outdoor garbage can as we are out in the country and we don’t want critters digging into garbage. Thanks.
